As we begin Autism Awareness & Acceptance Month We wanted to tell you all a little bit more about us. Here in @midletoncbsprimary school we have 4 colour coded corridors. Our Yellow Corridor is where we have our 3 Special Classes for children with ASD: An Solas, An Ghrian & An Realt. It is a corridor full of bright smiles, bright eyes and bright boys and no other colour could represent our boys any better. For a while now our staff had been brainstorming and they came together this term to put a few new ideas into action. This is just one of them! Check out our life skills room where we will be doing activities like making breakfast & baking treats, to name just a couple, while taking advantage of our new surroundings as a space to develop language and social skills.
